A champion of donor activism and women’s leadership for fifty years, Tracy is known internationally for her work in the field of community-based giving with diverse communities. Her unique strategy is threefold: she advises donors in aligning their giving with their deepest values, works with leaders of color in non-profits on their fundraising practices, and builds networks across communities. Her effectiveness in galvanizing change that addresses local and global needs, arises from her core organizing principle: that we create a better world by inviting all to decision making tables. She suggests we listen deeply to what communities say they need, and to engage their wisdom and leadership. She sparks donors to engage fully in partnerships with active changemakers, to leverage their impact, and to unleash their generosity.
Tracy has worked with 800+ donors and 100 multi-generational foundations. As a field innovator, she has co-founded 23 nonprofits including Inspired Legacies, the Women Donors Network, Resourceful Women, Women Moving Millions, Engaged Donors for Global Equity (EDGE Funders) and most recently, Lesbian Global network. As a trusted advisor, she works with hundreds of family and investment advisors.
Tracy is a speaker, coach and workshop leader, offering her services in her final tour in 2023-2024, through Unleashing Generosity. Invited to all 50 states and 23 countries, her book, Inspired Philanthropy: Your Step-by-Step Guide to Creating a Giving Plan and Leaving a Legacy, is in its 3rd printing having sold over 44,000 copies. She is honored to have been awarded, in 2017, The Shaw Hardy-Taylor Award by WPI for her lifetime leadership.
